Rasa sayang eh! Rasa sayang sayang eh! Eh lihat nona jauh, rasa sayang sayang eh! Rasa sayang eh! Rasa sayang sayang eh! Eh lihat nona jauh, rasa sayang sayang eh!
I would like to have this Malay song for my wedding. My nephew and nieces will sing it.
Hi Bee Ean I have two pantun for you. My husband learned this and he danced along too. He has probably forgotten by now. It's more meaningful if your husband sings it. Dua tiga kucing belari mana sama kucing belang dua tiga boleh dicari mana sama kucing belang.
This is usually sung with Chan mali chan... It can also go with Rasa Sayang. Di mana dia anak kambing saya Anak kambing saya yang makan daun talas Dia mana dia buah hati saya Buah hati saya bagai telur dikupas.

Thanks a lot Jesie,
ReplyDeleteI will try to make Fabien sings this.
I was thinking you should pantun one in Malay, one in English and one in French and what it is your mother tongue is.
ReplyDeletecirnelle,
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to pantun in other languages with the Rasa Sayang rhythm? I will need to find them first. Any suggestions?
Oops! I'm so sorry. I repeated stencil 2 in stencil 4. Stencil 4 should read correctly as. "Mana sama abang seorang!"
ReplyDeleteBee Ean,
ReplyDeleteCirnelle has a very good suggestion. That's going to be very interesting if you can rhyme it.
Here... my pathetic attempt at rhyming to the Rasa Sayang tune in English:
ReplyDeleteBee Ean Fabien playing badminton
He smashed, she blocked, managed a return,
It took a game, their hearts a'quickened,
Love has never needed a reason.
You guys rock! I just send an email to the French with the lyrics!!
