Proton for sale

The Proton car parked outside our apartment complex is for sale now. See the owner miss-spelled the word "Proton" to "Pronto". This car is 12 years old, not bad for a Proton.

I'm tempting to ask for a ride, see how it feels driving the Malaysian car outside Malaysia with the wheel on the left. What say you?

  1. When we were driving on the HWY from Phily to Dover (Delaware), we were joking how interesting to see kancil on the highway, we all cracked up , of course except my hubby, who didnot what we were laughing about :).

  3. I obviously can't read French, but maybe the sign says, "Car for sale, pronto" in which case, "fast!". Hehehe!

  4. BeeEan,
Go for a free ride. It's going to be a great feeling driving a Malaysian car in France.

  5. Yes, go for a drive, Bee Ean. I've read and heard that Proton cars manufactured for export are a class above those sold to Malaysians. Maybe you can confirm this for us? :)

  11. Bee Ean,
From your physical observation, is the exported model the same as the ones back home besides the steering wheel on a different side?

    iCook4Fun,
I know of someone whose last name is Woo who exported Protons to UK in the 1990s. When I meet him again, I will share with him your comments.
