My neighbore can be...a Malaysian?

The first day we moved in, my hubby told me that there is a Proton parked just outside the building. I was surprised! I have never seen a Proton (a Malaysian made car) in France before. Literally nobody knows about it. I thought maybe the owner is a Malaysian??? But so far I have not seen an Asian face in this building :-(.

This car has not moved since we came, it might be abandoned.

Even though some of the French have visited Malaysia, they still don't know that Malaysia has it's own brand of car. They were counting the number of French cars there, which is rare, and had to acknowledge that Malaysians are crazy about big cars from the Japanese manufacturers. In France? Yeah they will tell you French car is the best in the world!

  2. That proton is actually the generation of cars still engineered by Mitsubishi. So, technically, its still a Japanese car, just packaged in Malaysia.

You could ask to borrow the car for your wedding. Hahahaha!

  3. cirnelle is right... it's a japanese car after all. so... in france... it's not the best car since it's not french.

You could be right, I haven't seen any Asian soul here.

    cirnelle,
It would be nice to have a proton as the wedding car, haha, why not. But I haven't seen anybody in that car though.

    zewt,
I always thought Japanese car has good quality. So if Proton is Japanese, then Japanese car is bad??

Seriously I think you are right. The guy didn't even put a notice on the car to try to sell it. Maybe he's on vacation? You know everyone here is on vacation now.

  11. No I didn't have time to check out the owner. In fact the car was gone since mid Aug. So I guess it found her new owner.
