Organic veggies+French wine (joke)+French patisserie = The French Way

Hubby's grandma and father came for a visit, and when I told her that we got too much organic zucchini from our weekly bio vegetables supply, she instantly taught me a recipe she likes. Click here for the zucchini and pan fried potato recipes.

Grandma also gave us a bottle of sweet white wine, can you see the joke on the bottle?

Here's the translation:
On the left: Bureau de vote = Vote office
On the right: La gauch ou la droite? = The left or the right?
Bottom: Les français se tatent = The French touch themselves
Basically it's a man scratching his b**ls left and right hinting the current French election of selecting the right wings or left wings.

This is one of my favorite French patisserie, everything with fruits suit me!

Hmm French and political jokes, they always come hand in hand.

I learned two foreign languages last time, French and Japanese. And now I am in Japan, lucky me. I wonder whether I will make it to France. :-)

P/S : Don't ask me about my french now, I returned almost everything to my teacher.

  2. If not for your tranlation, I genuinely thought there was a kinky side to you. =p

I love that desert! It looks so good!

  4. i want to visit France! haha thanks for dropping by..its indeed an eye opener of life in France..

  5. Kuan Hoong,
I learnt Japanese too in Uni and I forgot most of them. Don't you think Japanese is easier compared to French? At least in terms of grammer.

The French joke about sex all the times. They always make fun of the Americans who hoo haa about sex.

I bet you got the same dessert in Germany?

Thanks for popping by. I enjoy your food photos a lot.

  6. Bee,

Thanks for posting that Zucchini recipe. I need to try it. Looks simple enough. :)

Yup, at least in Japanese, there is no need to differentiate male and female for all things.

  8. Have you tried using tempura flour for the vegetables before? I love it a lot. Maybe you can try that for a change. :)

  9. hi criz lai,
You use tempura flour then you fry them? At this point I don't cook much deep fry stuffs, I prefer baking or pan fry.
